Good Afternoon and Happy Halloween,
Next week, all students will complete the Graduate Profile Self-Assessment Rubric remotely via Otus. This rubric helps students reflect on the essential skills and qualities every Weld Re-3J graduate works to develop—beyond academics. It’s about becoming a capable, confident, and community-minded individual, prepared for college, career, and life after high school.
Purpose
The Graduate Profile is designed to help students:- Understand their strengths and areas for growth
- Set goals for continued development
- Demonstrate skills valued by employers and colleges
Process
- Students K-12 will attend a brief remote meeting with their teacher on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.
- During this meeting, teachers will explain the intent and purpose of the rubric and how the data will be used to support student growth.
- After the short presentation, students will log in to Otus and complete their self-assessment.
- Upon completion of the meeting and rubric, Thursday’s Edmentum assignments will be made exempt.
- Students will complete this self-assessment twice each year—once in October/early November and again prior to parent-teacher conferences in February.
- Teachers will meet individually with students to review results and offer guidance for growth.
- In May, teachers will complete final rubric ratings, which will be included on report cards.
Stay safe and enjoy the beautiful fall weekend.
